After having our home up for sale for almost 2 years, we have an offer coming in today. It has been a very tough 2 years as this is the only offer. It has been hard on all of us, but especially our children (ages 6, 4, and 3). We are ready to move on. The thought of being able to proceed with homeschooling and daily activities without the interruption of showings and the constant worrying if the house is clean enough everyday means so much to the children and my husband and I (and for our two dogs who can sense my stress daily). We could really use some prayers for a good, solid offer, one that we would be able to accept.

UPDATE:
Well, the offer was quite low. In fact our realtor told us the other realtor was a bit embarrassed to show it to us. We were also informed of more houses coming on the market just down the street from ours which are priced quite a bit lower. Our situation doesn't look good and we need to make a decision in a very short amount of time. We are praying for guidance.

Praying. When we moved last year, we decided to take a very low offer in order to unload our house quickly. At the time I didn't know if it was the right thing to do, but as it turned out the amount we lost on our old house was exactly the same amount that we saved off the listed price on our new house, which was a short sale. So I guess it all came out in the wash. (Not saying this is what you need to do, but just trying to offer some comfort if you do end up taking the offer.)

Praying for wisdom for you, and an end to this stressful time...

Thank you all so much for your continued prayers. They are such a great comfort to me and I feel so incredibly blessed. For the first time in two nights, I actually slept. We prayed and prayed for guidance on our decision and then we made a counter offer. I wish we could have taken a low offer just to be done with the selling. Unfortunately, we have looked into every possible way to accept one and we just can't afford to pay the bank. They have until Saturday night to respond to our counter. We know there is a great chance they will walk away, but I trust in our Lord. Oh how I trust in Him!

Much to our surprise, they countered Saturday evening with an offer very, very close to our counter offer. We accepted!

We are needing continued prayers for the upcoming inspection. We have an older home and pray there isn't anything too serious.
