Thank you all so very much for all of your love and prayers. The funeral was this afternoon and I am rather brain drained at the moment but sharing time with my dh and children and I am so very grateful for the gift of them. It has been a surreal couple of days and the weather has been so intense. The worst storm almost beat me to the funeral home's door yesterday for the wake. I had dropped the kids off and went to park the van and that storm came in so fast with incredible wind and lightning. Every time it stormed, it was when we were safe and secure. So much grace!

My favorite was when the priest, who had a rather saccharine style, was reading from 1 Cor 13 at the end of Mass and substituting my fil's name in for the word love. Well, the heavens opened up and it rained so incredibly hard at that moment, my bil and I had a hard time not giggling out loud. It was almost like my fil was saying, "Enough!" or something to that effect . He was one who was big on humility and being truthful... LOL

The kids, dh and I have no idea what day of the week it is, as it mostly feels like Sunday. We are going to spend a lot of time with them for the next few days appreciating the GIFT we have as a family. We are so grateful for this and for all of you!!
