I've just found out this evening that a little baby boy, 20 months old, his name is Damian, was badly burnt six days ago, on the face, neck and upper body. The burns are 2nd and 3rd degree that are deep. This little fellow is the youngest of 12 and come from a lovely homeschooling family in Australia.

Damian has just had a skin graft operation this afternoon and unfortunately struggling with croup on top of it and is having breathing problems. He had caught a cold that morning before surgery.

His mother Lynn, is obviously suffering greatly, away from her family living in another State, this is truly horrifying for her. Please keep them both in your prayers.

Just spoke to S. (Lynn's oldest dd)and she is asking for prayers. Damien is really having trouble breathing at present, they are quite concerned, there are a number of doctors around.

Thanks Erin, I've just received a similar update:

"We are in need of some urgent prayers for little Damien. His burns seem to be well managed at present however he is having serious difficulty breathing. They do not know if he has a viral infection or what is causing his laboured breathing - but nothing is helping to alleviate it at present. He is scheduled for a chest x-ray this afternoon and will probably be moved from the Burns Unit to the High dependency unit at the Royal Children's.

Lynn has rung and is asking for your prayers please. Damien needs all the strength he has to cope with his burns and now all his energy is being directed into simply breathing.
