Please pray that this new severe weather system moving into the midsouth and midwest doesn't live up to its hype. The weather channel forecasts the highest risk of a tornado outbreak for my location in northern Mississippi, and only slightly less elevated risk for Jen in Alabama. I imagine that everyone else in the south is keeping an eye on the skies today, too.

Storms hit us about noon. A funnel cloud was sighted near us and lots of power outages in the area, but no tornado outbreak! Now the front is on its way to Jen's area. Hopefully it will stay much tamer than forecast. I believe we may have to do this all again on Friday. Ah, April...

Angela should be done with the worst of the weather. The bad line of storms/potential tornadic line is 10 minutes from us right now.
Prayers appreciated!

We're all clear here. Some high winds and lots of lightning/storms, but no damage that I can tell. Rob drove home through it. He just got in, thanks be to God. It sounds like a tornado cut across the area where he works; he got out of the area just in time.
Indeed! This is just typical weather in the spring and fall here in the south. Un-nerving...but typical.
There has been some damage in our local area, as well as up north towards the Nashville area. I'm sure this line has painted a path of damage as it moved across the south this afternoon. Thank you all for continuing to pray for those displaced or affected by these strong storms!
