One of the monk at the school my son attends was dismissed today into a psychiatric facility for sociopathic behavior. It was found that he falsified much of his life story and continuing to spread dramatic lies. Last week his lies caught up to him and his deceits were uncovered.

My children are devastated. This man has eaten at my table, acted as spiritual advisor to my teen sons, been alone with my children.

The school community has been rocked yet again this year. The calendar year started with the suicide of a popular senior, and has been crisis after crisis for the past 3 months.

Please keep everyone involved, including this now dismissed monk (whatever the proper term is) in your prayers.

I'm so sorry, LeeAnn. Events like this are so very hard to understand, let alone explain (and I know, because we have experienced something like this at a previous military command). I will be praying for your family and for your school community.

Thank you for your prayers!

It was a long night. My 16 year old homeschooled son is very distraught. He was very close to the man and doesn't handle change or conflict well. I am hoping the abbot will have time to speak with him soon, because right now he is refusing to believe the accusations and seems to think it is an elaborate plot against the man.
