Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi,
I was hospitalized last week with chest pains that turned out to be pericarditis. I also will be seeing the doctor this week again for an overactive thyroid and hopefully get the thyroid under control. Could you please pray that the chest pains, which have come back again, will be tolerable until I get to the doctor later this week. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain but this pain seems to be getting the better of me.(feels like electricity/sharp pains in the chest that strike at random times several times a day) I was put on a medication to take the swelling down on the outside of the heart but it gave me migraines and I'm now taking 4 advil every few hours to try to control the pain.
This seemed to have come out of nowhere and I just want to get back to my normal routine.

Martina, I know how worrying thyroid problems can be, I'm asking God for healing and also the best treatment possible.

Praying for you! And can they give you a different medication to control swelling but not give you migraines?

Hi,
looks like it's plueralpericarditis as opposed to just pericarditis that's been bothering me. Which means the pain is coming from the fact that the thin membrane that surrounds the lung also is inflammed. It could have been caused by a virus(we had respiratory flu here recently) Now the doctor will just try to find a drug that won't give me migraines and then do a blood test again in a few week to see if my cardiac enzyme numbers are better. looks like as soon as this is figured out, I'll be good to go!
Thank you all for your prayers and kind words, you're an awesome group to turn to!
God has been so good to me
Martina
