I have had an absolutely excruciating ear ache going all the way from my outer ear down my entire eustacian tube, for over 30 hours after being sick now for a week and a half, please pray for relief!!! I don't know how much longer I can take this pain, I've tried a lot of things to relieve it. It went away for maybe an hour today, but I don't know what did it. Thank you for your prayers. Oh, and if you can, please pray that our Little Ones don't get this ear pain. I'd rather have it for 5 days straight than have them in pain. Jesus, I trust in You!

Prayers! I had a double ear infection after having the flu a few years ago, and it really is one of the most agonizing experiences! I did get some relief from a hot water bottle (though only one ear at a time ) , and steaming my face with my head over boiling hot water with a towel over and camphor oil helped. I hope your ears will drain soon and it is on its way out after so long!

Thank you all for your prayers! I actually went to the ER last night, the pain got too much to bear (equal to active labor). I was trying natural methods to get rid of it to avoid antibiotics, which always cause me to get thrush even with probiotics, but the natural stuff did not work. It got to a point where *nothing* was bringing any relief. The stuff they gave me to relieve the pain(ear drops, couldn't take anything stronger due to BF-ing) didn't do anything either. I did finally find, by pure mistake and God's grace, that eating trail mix with hard nuts in it brought relief for an hour at a time. The chewing required must have been enough to help things drain and relieve some pressure. Thank you again for your prayers!

you might also try things that are sour.. a hot lemonade is one of my favorite things.

But I would also consider an otc decongestant.

Pineapple/bromelain can also help reduce swelling in the tissues helping drainage.

And there is yarrow, I believe, that is not advised for pregnancy though the only thing I found on it when I looked it up years ago was that it blocks iron absorbion.. but it helps a lot with getting a stuffy head to drain and I might try that for a very short time if I wasn't pregnant even if I was nursing.

I've been praying, Pilgrim. The only thing that has helped my ears is Wally's Ear Oil and warm rice compresses. But, my ears haven't been as severe as you've experienced, poor dear .
