My sweet little girl has been having a host of health issues since her 1st birthday. She had surgery in October and is now gettign supplemental tube feedings.
Yesterday she had an appt wih her GI and she is being scheduled for an endoscopy and a sigmoidoscopy wih a biopsy. She will have to be sedated again (and she does awful waking from sedation...she goes bezerk).
Also in a few months she will be starting a 4wk intesive feeding therapy program. Prayers please that it helps her. That she gains weight and these two hurdles are her last.
Thanks!

Poor thing! And poor Momma having to endure all of that on your little one. Praying for her, for you and your family and for the doctors!!
Is it possible that she is allergic or sensitive to the particular sedative that they have used? I know people who react terribly to some but not to others.

Yes that is exactly the problem with the sedative. She is sensitive to it. They try to use as little as possible (I can't remember the name of the specific one she has the problem with. It is part of a three part cocktail if I recall correctly), but it just all depends on how long the procedure is. She had a long MRI and ohhh my did she have an awful time waking up. But she was sedated for a PICC line and it was pretty quick and so it was not as bad. I am not sure yet how long this procedure will be.
