Hi all,
This is a bit less important in the grand scheme of things - although the kids might disagree....Our outside dog Ranger seems to have had a couple seizures. He is still wobbly after the one he had this morning and not eating. Dh doesn't want to spend the money on a vet. So we could use the prayers and any suggestions from those of you that know a lot about animals?
Thanks and God bless,
Angela

Oh how scary, especially if your children have witnessed the seizures.
Did Ranger have access to something unusual? antifreeze? fertilizer?
I just found this link Seizures in dogs
Praying here for your situation.

Angela, we are big animal lovers here, and I feel for your worry. I don't know much about dogs, but one of my cats is a diabetic ~ has Ranger lost any weight lately or seemed excessively thirsty or hungry?
We will say a prayer to St. Francis for your beloved pet, Ranger. Keep us posted.

Michaela, Dawn and all,
Thanks for your prayers. Keep them coming. He's still not any better. Not moving around much, or barking or eating or drinking or anything.
He's on a chain, so I feel certain he didn't get into anything. And I had thought diabetic, too, but he hasn't lost weight lately and he still isn't eating.
Thanks for the link, too Michaela. Not sure what to do, except keep praying. I don't want to call the vet against dh's wishes, but I don't want Ranger to suffer, either.
Thanks again,
Angela

Angela, I am praying for your family and that your pet will be feeling better soon.
Prayer For A Sick Animal:
Heavenly Father,
you created all things for your glory
and made us stewards of this creature.
If it is your will, restore it to health and strength.
Blessed are you, Dear God,
and holy is your name for ever and ever.
Amen.

Quick update:
Ranger had to be put down yesterday. We took him to the vet in the morning and he began to respond to meds, but went downhill after that. I'm now on my way to take some brain tissue to have it tested for rabies. Please pray it's not rabies! And please pray for my dc. They are so sad, it breaks my heart.
Thanks so much,
Angela
