Dear ladies,

please pray for our very dear friends. She gave birth yesterday to her two little girls, one was doing good but the other one was stillborn... I have no details at this time other that a mass will be said for little Therese tomorrow.

Also please any advice on WHAT I can do to help them would be really appreciated.

They'll likely appreciate meals, and just being available. They may not know how to reach out for help, in their loss, so be attentive, but not hovering if you can do it ;)

I lived with a family for a time that had had a miscarriage. The one thing they emphasized to me was how much pain they still felt years later - that pain never goes away yet many people around them felt they should "get over it" after a while (especially after their next child was born)....

Mattie, just be there for them. I think the best thing is that they are able to talk especially about the little one in heaven. I think that is the hardest thing for families, is people not wanting to talk about there stillborn or miscarried baby.

I am sure many others would agree.

Thank you wonderful ladies, I know they appreciate the prayers and I truly appreciate the advice.

Emily, my kids still mention Matthew once in a while, so he is not forgotten...

They are having a Mass said tonight, 5:30 MST I figured I would let you know if you want to join your prayers to ours.
