My dd Amy, 16, has been battling hives, asthma, hypoglycemia, and unwellness for about a year now. Today she saw a juvenile asthma, allergy, rheumatolist. He feels she probably has Lupus. He is running some tests in the next few weeks--and has completely changed all the meds that she has been on. As I have rheumatoid arthritis, he is concerned about this also.

Please offer a little prayer for Amy please, that she, and we, find answers and she finds some relief soon.

I'll keep her in my prayers, Joann. Has she been tested for Lyme, by any chance? I was just thinking that some of the symptoms sounded like ones I have read about in people whose Lyme disease went untreated for a long time.

I really hope they figure things out soon!

She was tested for Lyme this past summer and it was negative. I was thinking about that also.

Update:12/1

Amy was back to the specialists yesterday and they feel she has Lupus and possibly Rheumatoid arthritis along with it. They are going to be starting treatment as soon as they talk with the more "special" specialists concerning treatment options because of her young age--16.

She also has a biopsy of some of her hives on 12/10 because some appear to be very deep....
