I know some of you are aware that one of my kids was born with a congital heart defect.   There was heart reconstruction at ni=ne days of age and then a heart valve replacment at age six. She needs a valve replacement about every ten years.

We are 11.5 years now and she wants to have the valve replaced in the next few months if possible. More on that later.

I have a phone appt with the surgeon at 9am and then we meet her new cardiologist at 12:30 PST.

Could you please pray these go well and we can know if God's will meets my dd's will?

Thanks for the prayers, esp amidst all of your own sufferings.

Praying for you and your daughter! My ds was born with a VSD among other things (he spent close to two weeks in the NICU: it seemed so much longer). We were very fortunate it closed all on its own, but for the first year I felt we met every available pediatric speicialist. (to date he is my most medical attention needy child) He is turning four next Tuesday .

Thank you everyone for prayers!

We never did hear from the surgeon so I called them about 2pm and they said they would have him call me about 9am this morning.

I feel slightly nervous for some reason.....though he is a nice guy, I should just relax.

We met the cardiologist on Friday for the first time (her pediatric cardiologist of 17 years recently relocated to Idaho...we miss him!!! He was awesome! but, he left immediately after starting the all rolling for Sarah in the spring.....and everyone else looks at the numbers and reports instead at Sarah the person)

and we really like him! He will make a great replacement for the other one. He told Sarah that I was his boss.    That means he gets it...that parents and patients are in charge of their healthcare, not doctors.....that is what i teach my patients.

Anyway....prayers for today's 9am call please? Thanks!
