Please pray for us that we can catch and erradicate all the rodents we are experiencing lately. It seems that the dog who died this year was an even better mouser than we knew judging by the number of rodents we are now having, the likes of which we have never seen before!    Thankfully none of us have a phobia , but rodents are not nice or healthy, and they are getting into our food and other things, and we don't want to have them around with a newborn in the house . We need to find the entrances they are using, we have searched and thought we had them all, please pray we can find out where they are coming in, and what they are and catch them, so far they are very clever and are able to steal the food and not get caught!

Praying. Can you find where they are coming in and stuff the hole? You're right - it is extremely disconcerting to be sharing hearth and home with these little critters.

Unfortunately we can't have cats indoors because dh is very allergic to them and we suspect ds would be too, and we can't have them outdoors because they tear up all of our heat runs with their claws , and we end up heating the outdoors! We do have the new dog, but, I don't know if it's difference in breed or maybe just age(puppy is about 5 mo) that made the old dog have such a propensity for catching mice, rats, squirrels, snakes, frogs, you name it, and the new dog doesn't seem to be catching anything yet, although she will snatch up a mouse and take off with it if we throw it from the trap  .
We did find some holes that we thought were the entrance, you know the kind of hole when you do an addition or project on the house and are so busy you forget to plug it. Well we plugged all the holes we could find, but it looks like we need to look for more holes .
I've wondered if it's going to be an early winter with how early they have been coming in here and how *many* there have been, too.

Oh no! I know how upsetting this can be. I DO have a phobia. I can smell a rodent a mile away. When we get one in the house I will literally play "the floor is lava game" (you know, where you only step on furniture and things, never touching the floor) until someone, anyone catches the critter. Shudder. A bit extreme but I just know it's going to get me...I just know it.
