Let us pray together for the Pope's time in England and Scotland, where he is bound to encounter rudeness and hostility. For the faithful and truly seeking of those Lands, especially Lucy and her family. That this courageous journey of the Holy Father bring great fruit and direction for these countries rich with Christian history.
I would be thankful if someone could suggest a specific prayer for this occasion.

Why not pray the Divine Mercy- We were encouraged to pray this for our Priests Through last year being 'The year of the Priest'.
I have just found this prayer,
Almighty and Everlasting God, have mercy on Your servant Pope Benedict XVIth], our Supreme Pontiff, and direct him, according to Your loving kindness, in the way of eternal salvation, that with Your help he may ever desire that which is pleasing to You and accomplish it with all his strength. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord Jesus, shelter our Holy Father the Pope under the protection of Your Sacred Heart. Be his light, his strength and his consolation.

He is being greeted with a lot of love and enthusiasm. I think it is hard to feel anything but love and delight around our precious Pope. I see him and want to smile and laugh, and I think he is winning people over. I am praying for the hardest hearts and souls to be softened by his wisdom and charm.

I about cry every time I hear his voice. It sounds like the sweetest, grace filled papa....I just love him. It breaks my heart to hear the coverage on BBC (not very nice)....I am stepping up my prayers for him!

The Pope is so lovely to see in person, even just a glimpse! I wrote about our trip to see him on my blog if you want to look. The security people are doing a very good job, and he is being met with love by ordinary people.
