Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

As we near the feast of Good Saint Joseph, would you please pray for my dh too? Our job situation is really no different than it was this time last year, with one exception. Now, he's well past the threshold of being gone more than he is home . Here's my favorite St. Joseph prayer:

Holy St. Joseph, spouse of Mary,
Be mindful of us, pray for us, watch over us,
Guardian of the paradise of the new Adam, provide for our temporal wants,
Faithful guardian of the most precious of all treasures, we beseech you to bring this matter to a happy end if it be for the glory of God and the good of our souls.
Amen

Been there...done that. Life is so different with Keven now home.

I'll pray, Elizabeth.

I'm right with you, Elizabeth...dh is gone now, leaves for a 3+ week trip Sunday, and we have no transfer orders.

Praying for all of you, especially with Baby on the way!

Well...

I would be less worried if our tenants were not leaving this month. Without orders, we can't re-rent our house to other tenants, nor can we move into it ourselves. (And, we're not independently wealthy...this isn't 1700's Britain!!!)

Let's just say, if the Navy treats senior officers this way...what on earth are they doing to the sailors, who also must exist on poverty-level wages? It's really infuriating.

I'm not worried for us...we'll be satisified to go wherever dh is sent. He's very stressed, though, and the financial strain is going to make things worse.

All prayers are appreciated!

Oh yes, Elizabeth! Our family will say the Memorare in the morning and the St. Joseph prayer at night. Where two or more gather...

I won't even go there, Nancy, because I'm too emotionally tied up in similar concerns about my dh and the Public Health Service. Just know that I second your concerns... and am praying for ya .

Love,

It really does make such a difference when dh is home. Sometimes I do underestimate the impact he makes when home (great post about husbands by the way, Jenn). I will pray for you and your dh, Elizabeth along with you, Nancy. I thought the Army was bad about not giving orders in a timely manner. Being in limbo is an awful thing. My dh will be gone more than he is home this year as many of you know. He just came back from a nine week Army school last week and it's been great. He will be gone in less than 2 months so we will make the most of these two months.

I'm bumping this up because I just learned that there is a very real possibility for something good that doesn't require a move.    Please keep praying!
