I thought this stomach virus was "mild", but it seems to have hit one of my 4 year olds pretty hard. He can't keep anything down and we are worried that he is becoming dehydrated. I've called the doctor and apparently "everyone" has this right now, and it's lasting about a week.
Everybody else in the family -- except me-- has come down with this "thing", and in addition to being worried about Jacob, I am also nervous about getting sick, going into labor early (I'm nearly 38 weeks), or being sick for my scheduled C-section next Tues.
Could you please say some prayers for us?This last month or so has been pretty tough.

Oh, praying! I do remember that my OB once told me that women tend NOT to go into labor if they are sick with a bad cold, the flu, etc. I don't know if that is universally true, but I will pray also that you stay healthy!

Jacob is much better today. He started feeling better yesterday, but for the days he was throwing up he was right on the edge of what the doctor considered being "hydrated". We still aren't out of the woods yet, though, because my dd is still getting over it and my other 4 yo seems to be having a tough day today (though not as tough as his brother's tough days.) My mom is flying in tomorrow, and I am just praying that *she* doesn't get sick!!!
I am still holding up ok, though nervously. The pediatrician's office told me that this was not the sort of thing that breastfeeding newborns picked up, having too much natural immunity, which made me feel somewhat better... but of course I still don't know if my few "feeling off" days this week were because of the virus or what.
