My hubby has had this recurring skin infection on his face since December. I suspect it started out with stress and allergies (workplace woes all year last year), plus the fatigue because of traveling and the recent move. He's got a history of asthma and eczema all his life, though the eczema has been under control until last year when the stress has been non-stop. He's been off and on steroids and antibiotics since November and it's not going away. since we just moved here we had difficulty having him seen right away -- fortunately i was able to move his appointment to Monday (Thank you God!), but i'm sorta getting scared that it might be turning into MRSA or something equally scary. my hubby always says he's not stressed but his body is really showing it. (argh! should i ask him to see a psychiatrist? he's always been the calm and silent type, but then the stress manifests itself in eczema and asthma, i don't know what to do for him anymore.)
please pray that this is the right doctor and that he's able to get the kind of help he needs. thanks!

Dear Stef,
I will pray for your dh, for clear direction in finding the help he needs...and for comfort and strength to make it through!

I'm so sorry, stef. We're praying for Alfredo. Let us know how Monday goes. No need to call a psychiatrist just yet! Have alfredo give dh a call if he would like to discuss options for dealing with work-related stress. My guess is that the two of them would get to commiserating to the point of laughing at the ridiculousness of work place expectations. It is SO difficult to be a God-and-family-loving-man at work .
Love,

Praying, Stef,
My husband's doctor told him that most of his health problems would clear up...when he retires.
Moving and job stress will do it to anyone. I'd start with a general practitioner and go from there. Once your husband is able to build up a rapport with his primary care doctor, they can work together to find a good solution for the health/stress issues. Sometimes that takes time (and decent health insurance ), but unless things get noticeably worse, your current plan sounds like a good way to go.
Hang in there...praying for all of you!

just wanted to say thank you for your prayers and post an update about hubby: we saw the doctor today and she is all that we had hoped for and more -- turns out she's Filipina, so we were able to communicate in the vernacular, which sometimes helps. she's very thorough and quite conservative with her treatment (nothing right now until blood tests come in) -- but she's also trained in chinese medicine, reiki and acupuncture. so.... no answers yet, but at least we found out it's not staph! (i'm soooo relieved.) thank you all so much again for your prayers.
