Please send up a prayer for me! I opened my big mouth recently to our pastor about my desire to see more devotions in our parish. He emailed recently and wants to come out to talk over some ideas. (emoticon of me smacking my head  ) Oy vey!!! I am as shy as they come but want to see God glorified, so I guess I'll give it my best shot. He is such a dear priest, I want to support him in anyway I can.
Please pray for the Holy Spirit to guide, that I am humble and God is glorified in whatever ends up happening please! Thanks, dear friends.

HOT DOG!!!!
He is planning to start Confessions/Holy Hours in June. (of course!) He was here for lunch to talk over ideas and he is really excited about starting up a weekly Holy Hour  . He wants to bring in devotions to the 14 Holy Helpers, he seems to be very interested in learning more about them. I had a book on my shelf on the Holy Helpers  so he's reading it and I am sure he will have much to teach us. Can't wait!!
Please offer a prayer for him, he is so good and holy! Thanks be to God!

Paraphrasing Scripture....do not worry about what you should do or say...the Holy Spirit will speak for you. How beautiful that your pastor shares a desire to increase devotion in your parish. Local devotions that might inspire; Thursday evening Holy Hours to pray for priests, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Novena, Parish Rosary. There are many online websites that could supply prayers and ideas. One example: www.opusangelorum.org has beautiful prayers and resources to encourage prayers for priests. May God bless and anoint your efforts.

Servant, Great website and ideas, establishing a Holy Hour is exactly what I had in mind. The Assumption Grotto is a day trip I've been wanting to make for a while now, thank you!

Oh, how wise the Holy Spirit is! You were called! God bless you..you will be fine. How wonderful these devotions will be starting in your parish, and that your priest was "open" to them! This is such great news, and you will see the fruits, let alone the parish fruits!
