after asking for birth prayers last month, I'm now back to request newborn prayers.  16-day-old Luke Dominic developed a high fever on Easter morning and was hospitalized for 5 days with what they believe was a kidney infection. he'd been losing weight since birth, and then it dropped even more when he got sick, so we are supplementing with formula (which worries me but I am so desperate for him to gain I'd probably agree to anything). he is still on antibiotics and very sleepy ... we actually struggle to wake him up for regular feedings, which is a new one around here.
there's really a lot to be thankful for, especially the fact that he'll be baptized Sunday after Mass. any prayers would be most appreciated, for his weight gain and continued health as well as the blessing of this precious baptism. thank you so much.
UPDATE on 4/26: I'm finally getting back on here tosay little Luke is doing fine ... he's even getting chubby! we need to have more tests done next month to determine the cause of the infection, but he's doing really well. and the baptism was beautiful. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PRAYERS!

I'm praying, too! I will remember him especially tomorrow at Mass, when we'll be celebrating baptisms in our parish.
