I am burnt.
Kids fighting ALL day. Limited school being done. I am feeling tromped on--picking up and cleaning up after everyone and meeting their needs(while mine just never get met).
My neck hurts, I don't feel good, I am tired.
Dh is oblivious and never will get it. And he admits this, so it isn't being said in an uncharitable way.
I am sure some of you here have been in this place.
So, while I know it is temporary(well, at least I hope so, it has been weeks and I am finally crawling here for prayers)I would appreciate a prayer, a pat on the back and "it'll be OK, dear" from some ladies who will get it.

oy, anne, my Lent has been particularly difficult too -- and specially the last few days i sound like you!! my dh has also been gone and will be back in a few days, so his absence isn't helping the atmosphere here. 
yes, dear, this too shall pass. hang in there. i'll offer up the rest of my (hopefully less icky) day for you.

It is hard at times. Being the wife and mom is many times a thankless job. Sometimes when it's bad and nothing is getting done anyway.. I'll go and hide and read a book (takes me away from the current problems so it's like getting a break) and I can come back to it in a while feelign somewhat refreshed and able to get so much more done.
You might want to post over on Mothering to brainstorm new ways to deal with the kids interaction. Or maybe Our Lady of Loom, Larder, Laundry for help in a new way to approach the housework. Sometimes all you really need is a fresh way to see things and a new idea or two to try out.

Oh, dear Anne ! Some days are just like that - you're doing great, really you are. Take the rest of the day off (or as *off* as you can). A couple of aspirin for the achy neck, a cup of tea. You are being covered in prayer.
