I'm asking for your prayers for my marriage. To my shock and horror, my husband announced a week ago that he felt trapped and unhappy. It's now emerged that in particular he finds my deepening faith very difficult, particularly as his own spiritual life is in decline. He admits that he immerses himself in work to avoid family life, which he finds 'boring'.
I'm hurt and frightened and would really appreciate your prayers.
Update 3/25:
My husband now says he wants to go to marriage counseling -- on his own. I'm glad that he wants to go, but puzzled and hurt that he wants to go alone. Thank you for your prayers, from the bottom of my heart.
2nd Update 3/25:
I found out this evening that my husband has been having an affair. Please pray for us. Please pray for wisdom for me as I contemplate what to do. My heart is broken. I never, ever thought this would happen to me.
3rd Update 6/10:
Thank you all so very much for your prayers and kind words. I truly appreciate it. Things are much, much better for us. It has been a rocky road but we are rebuilding and I think that we will come through. A big issue remains my husband's faith, or lack or it, and therefore his attitude to openness to life . That, in turn, means that *I* feel on the fringes of the church... But God is good and I know He is carrying me whether I feel it or not.

May I gently suggest a wonderful Catholic marriage/family counselor? Dr. Gregory Popcak ...who does counseling by telephone, too...which is super nice considering it can be very difficult to schedule things with kiddos...we highly recommend him.
