Thanks everyone for your prayers when I had preterm labor several weeks ago!

Our new baby has arrived! Gus arrived last Thursday (short for August).
He is absolutely adorable (double chin and all!)

However, he had bilirubin issues, and ended up under the lights and we did an alternate feeding thing with a supplemental bottle and then nursing. We have managed to keep his latch going, but he has allowed himself to be a weak sucker which is affecting his wet diapers and so forth.

So please pray that we will get him back on track, so we can ALL get back on track, and that he will be a thriving breastfed baby soon!

I'm right there with you! It is so frustrating and worrisome. Get all the lactation advice you can from the hospital, they are a treasure-trove of knowledge.
