I just got a text that my friend had her baby, Peter, about 30 minutes ago. I don't have all the details, but I do know that it was a long labor. He was a bit floppy and unresponsive although the NICU staff got him going. He has been taken to the special care nursery. They believe he is going to be ok, but please pray for Peter. Thank you.

I was with Peter's mom during labor and my dh is Peter's doctor, though right now he's still in the NICU and is being cared for by the neonatologists.
Right now there are concerns about his heart and kidneys. Please keep storming heaven. Thanks!!

Update on Peter: he's doing better. The doctors are cautiously optimistic about his heart and kidneys. His mom, Liz, got to finger feed her expressed breastmilk to him today for the first time. They may let her try putting him to the breast tomorrow. Everyone is hoping that he will be coming home early next week.
