Thank you ladies for all of your prayers throughout my pregnancy with the fall on the ice and then the premature labor from Christmas to last week.
I am 38 weeks now and yesterday things started going with some birth show and stronger contractions. Starting at 3am they were coming every 20-30 minutes and now they are somewhere between 10-20. I've been lucky enough to have the kids playing somewhere else all day as the noise was too distracting for me.
So far this labor is very different as with the last two I had two days of prodromal labor but I really couldn't feel much, I just knew things were happening until the last 20 minutes of pushing. This time I'm really feeling the contractions and my cervix working so it's much more uncomfortable over a longer period.
It seems that this baby has its own agenda (my husband is convinced it must be a girl then), I think each baby just has their own way to come into the world. I've been spoiled by quick and easy births so I'm continuing to pray for strength and endurance for this one.
UPDATE - Thank you all for your prayers and support! With being blessed with quick births before this one certainly remind me that labor is indeed work and one that we do to partake in God's creation.
Once my contractions started coming at 10 minutes they quickly moved to 5 and in no time were down to 1 and then constant and I barely made it from my bedroom to the birth tub. Four pushes and baby was out before the midwives could get here (about an hour after I posted). So without the other kids running around it was just my husband and I for a quiet and intimate unassisted waterbirth.
We are happy to announce that a beautiful baby boy, Stephen Tanner, has joined the ranks with his three ecstatic brothers. Thank you again; I am just absolutely amazed at the gift God has given us in the female body to participate in the expanding of his Kingdom.

Oh, how exciting! I love it when labor starts, lol...you lucky thing, 38 weeks. My last one was 2 weeks late! Prayers for a happy and healthy delivery and some baby news soon!
