update #3: Thank you so much for all your prayers - you are all so wonderful!! This time I have good news: my husband will be heading home with Fintan any minute!! His heart is totally fine!! There were three blood levels that were off. One level (which was the most troublesome) was an error. The other 2 levels which were off were caused by a recent increase in one of his medications. We are so happy he is doing well but we are so sorry he went through such a nightmare last night when he is really fine. They did not so his biopsy today either because he had a runny nose so that will be rescheduled in a couple weeks. Unfortunately Fintan has had a runny nose since November - they may not see us again until June Again thank you so, so much for your prayers - I am praying for all of you dear ladies and your beautiful families! It's an honor to "know" you all!!
1/15 Thank you all so much for our prayers. We really need more today! Due to some off numbers in Fintan's blood test he had to be admitted to the hospital last night. We do not understand why or what they think is wrong. We are very frustrated because my husband took our happy, healthy toddler in last night for what appears to be no reason. Also, this particular hospital cannot draw blood from him (our local hospital is excellent with this) so they spent all night poking him with no results and put an NG tube in to give him more fluids. Like I said NOTHING appears to be wrong with him! I am afraid he is going to get sick there because he can't sleep and is hysterical.
Please pray for Fintan's comfort and for wisdom for his doctors and nurses to either find out whats wrong and tell us, if there is something wrong for it to be minor, or for them to realize nothing is wrong an discharge him. We just desperately want him home!!! He spent 8 months of his life in the hospital so our worst nightmare was to have him admitted again even for a short time. This hospital was amazing saving his life but when it comes to smaller things they do more harm than good!
Also please pray for my other children - they are devastated and want their baby brother back.
Finally could you please pray for my husband and I - that we can maintain our sanity. I know we are both feeling as if we have just been thrown back 2 years to that hard time Fintan was in the hospital. I thought that old pain was gone now I just realize it was hidden.
I am so sorry this is so long, like I said I am very upset so I am rambling. Thank you so, so much for all your prayers!! I will update when I know something!!
Hi everyone!!
Tomorrow my 2 year old son Fintan has his annual heart biopsy. He had a heart transplant when he was 3 1/2 months old and this annual biopsy is how they test for rejection. He has been doing awesome and has never experienced any rejection so we are not expecting bad results but I always get so nervous!!!
If you could, please pray for good results (no rejection, clear arteries and no other heart function problems), for him to tolerate everything well (he has to sit still for 6 hours afterwards which is not easy for a 2 year old!) and for peace for my husband and I while we wait for the results.
I should know the results by Monday so I will update as soon as I know! Thank you so much - you are all so wonderful at praying for each other. Please know you are all always in my prayers too!!

I will mention Fintan during our family prayers tonight. It will be our honor to pray for all of you and his care providers.

I have been in a similar situation, taking my healthy child in for a test and then having to keep her there for tests and overnight..I'm right back there just thinking about it. I will mention this to my husband, as he and I will pray for you. May God's Peace be with you.

Just saw your update, Gina. We've been in a similar situation with our now-8-yo where the doctors seem to be overreacting. Praying for wisdom for all her caregivers. And of course praying for you and Fintan!
