We had a letter this morning telling us that our son's birth mother is potentially gravely ill (it is an illness that is often terminal but we don't know specifics yet). It was a non-voluntary adoption and we have just letter contact between us, so we are not sure what steps to take. Please pray for her, for her other children, two of whom live with her and her husband, and for the two sets of adoptive parents who have to be ready to make some tricky decisions. And especially for our little one. Many thanks.
UPDATE: thanks for your prayers, ladies. We are still waiting to hear more from social services when they get back to work. Still not sure what to do - thinking about possible "goodbye meeting" between DS and his bio mum, but how then to exclude his bio dad and siblings? And also how to judge what is best for DS, both now as a little boy, and also as an adult in years to come. Also wonder if story is even true - or a ploy to get face to face contact with DS. Truly appreciate your prayers and your intentions are in our prayers.

I held this prayer close during the Christmas break, though I didn't post before we closed.
I'm praying that the Holy Spirit grants wisdom to you and your husband on knowing how to proceed with regard to your family, for this biological mother that gave life to your son, and that there is peace for all involved! Praying especially for your little man!
