Ladies, please, please pray for a family situation. Someone from my husband's past has hired a private investigator to locate him. We cannot think of any reason why she would have done this (the PI said she paid a lot of money to locate dh), unless possibly they have a child together (not impossible). It's a very strange situation, and I really don't want a PI or the person coming to the house unexpectedly.
I am filled with emotion. A renewed sadness over the lives we lead prior to marriage, wishing we'd saved all our heart for each other. Glad that a baby (if this is even the case) was not aborted. Anxiety over explaining the situation to our children. And then, of course, who is this woman? Would she have to be in our lives? Naturally the child (again, I'm jumping to conclusions) would be welcome in our family, but he/she would be at least 17 years old and we have young children.
Please pray that I will have the grace to handle whatever happens, and that I will be able to continue to care for my family during this time of so many unknowns. The emotional stress has quickly manifested itself into headaches, stomach aches, and naturally lots and lots of tears. I don't want to be distant with my husband, because he wasn't unfaithful to me, of that I am 100% confident. And we still don't know the reason she has gone to such great lengths to locate him. I can't imagine what must be going through his mind, but I can't talk about it with him until we know more.
Thank you all for letting me get this off my chest. I obviously cannot tell anyone openly that this is going on. I truly appreciate your prayers.

Oh- that must be completely nerve wracking. I'm praying that Jesus will give you peace. Who knows what she wants? Maybe she has nothing better to do than track down old friends or classmates. Some people with a lot of money and a lot of time do weird things like that.
I am praying this will quickly be resolved!

This boggles my mind. I think I'd be crawling the walls! I am so sorry that you all are dealing with this. Unknowns and waiting are so very difficult for me to bear. I am praying for Mary's intercession in this situation and that, no matter what's going on, God will use this to draw you all closer to each other and to show His great mercy and love. Jesus, I trust in You!

This would have me absolutely FUMING!!!!  I can completely understand your concern over this.
Fire up your word processing program and choose your favorite, prettiest font and print this out and tape it to the inside of every cabinet, on your washer, on your mirror in your bathroom, tuck a copy in the pocket of your apron...
