I had to share some very good news and ask you in joining me in sending up many, many prayers of thanksgiving to Our Father, and the Blessed Mother. My 11 yo ds was retested today after 1 1/2 yrs. of private tutoring through a center for children with dyslexia. He went from a first grade level of reading when tested in June of 2008 to a solid seventh grade level. I have been so teary eyed all day (happy tears).....I can't tell you what a tough road this has been.....and now to see my sweet guy blossom and become a confident and excited reader....after calling himself "stupid" and very anxious about all academics......it is an emotional day to look back at how far we have come. He told me the other day, "I am really enjoying history this year!"
Dyslexia is something he will probably always contend with, but right now, I am thanking God for the miracle He has worked in our lives, and asking for the grace to continue on this road of discovery and learning for all of us.
God is good, all of the time!!!
