My mother's godchild and the daughter of a dear friend died this morning after a very long battle with bone cancer. Josephine was lovely, devoted to her sister, brothers, nephews , parents, and my own mother.
Please pray for her and for her parents and family.

Josephine's funeral on Monday was lovely.
Priests must have a special grace to turn grief into something beautiful.
Josie's siblings' grief was painful to observe but their description of her strength through the 6 years' battle taught us all something about how important relationships are, with family, friends and staff at places like the cancer center.
As always , Josie's parents were there to make us comfortable, consoling us, even in their grief.
Is it any wonder that from the time I was a child I wanted to be like Josie's mom and once she married, I wanted to have their kind of loving, family centered, faith centered relationship.
