Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

He's having a very hard time at his job right now. Please pray that he may find peace and grow in understanding.

Thanks...our family really believes in your prayers!

Nancy, praying that your dh finds peace and grows in understanding with problems on the job. May St. Joseph be with him.

Praying here Nancy -- I know how hard that can be. Somedays my dh comes home so tired I want to go over there and kick somebody!

Nancy, be assured of prayers. My dh is so discouraged at his work...it takes over all other parts of his life.

We're praying with a lot of empathy here. Holding all husbands and fathers who are being challenged at work in prayer. We're VERY dependent on good St. Joseph.

Love,

I'll pray Nancy. My husband recently started a new job and is having a rough go of it as well.

Prayer for Assistance with a Difficult Problem

O glorious St. Joseph, thou who hast power to render possible even things which are considered impossible, come to our aid in our present trouble and distress. Take this important and difficult affair under thy particular protection, that it may end happily. (Name your request.)
O dear St. Joseph, all our confidence is in thee. let it not be said that we would invoke thee in vain; and since thou art so powerful with Jesus and Mary. show that thy goodness equals thy power. Amen, St. Joseph, friend of the Sacred Heart, pray for us.

Thank you, everyone. I've been talking a great deal with St. Joseph lately, especially after Maria posted that wonderful novena from EWTN's website. We're now down to either a thyroid problem or depression...either way, we're in for a long journey as a family. Please keep praying for us and for all the medical folks who will be helping us next week.

Thanks.

Nancy,
Been there...done that.
Right after my mil died, we moved in to care for my fil who had Alzhiemer's (sp?---you would think I'd know how to spell that by now without have to Google it ). It was a VERY stressful time. My dh was VERY stressed plus having lots of physical symptoms. I did everything I could to keep my end up here on the home front but I suffered so much watching him suffer.

We thought it was depression too. I even sent my dh to the doctor with instructions to look into that. But my dh is so level headed and not prone to mood-swings like I am, so I didn't really think depression was the issue, but I was willing to inspect every turnstall.

Turned out, during a regular blood check for colestoral (sp? ) they noticed an irregularity in his thyroid level. Took a year to get his thyroid medication correct BUT, the good news is the very FIRST day of taking his medication, he felt 100% better. That doesn't always happen with thyroids from what I've read, but it worked for him.

It's been up=hill ever since. Just stay focused and make him as comfortable as possible. Things will get better. Really.

So have we...I know you're already devoted to St. Joseph, who is the all time great intercessor for dhs, bad work situations and families, so I'll just add my prayers. He is just so wonderful to us...and he brings us out and out miracles; don't lose hope.
