I have four boys and never an ER visit for stitches...and then comes along this little petite dynamo, and POW...six stitchs to her pretty forehead..after a fall to a doorway...and in the height of flu everywhere we went last night. Trying to find somewhere to suture it that wasn't over-ran with flu was a trial. She did beautifully with the sutures, (big prayer of thanksgiving), and the staff let us stay in our car while we waited...but they had over 30 cases of flu come through in the few previous hours before our arrival...so please pray we do NOT come down with this. It would be devastating to Lily...not to mention the five of us with asthma. The vaccine is not available around here.
Also....say a prayer today for my 8 yo ds....he is struggling mightily with some kind of food allergy issue right now, he is down to a handful of foods that don't cause some kind of wierd sensation in his throat. He has major airway issues, which really complicate the picture...we need some answers quickly, going to the doctor today...and I know other specialists will be called in, as well. Poor guy, he is miserable.

You know, I totally understand... we've made more ER visits for my DD than for any of the boys. Well... YET. 
Praying that all of you avoid the flu, that you find out what is bothering your son... and that Lily takes a break to sit and play with her dolls for a while!!

Goodness - your house has even more more drama than mine! Prayers for little Lily to heal quickly - oh my - she sure will be a handful for Michael (not that he is any different - it is the grace of God he has not had stitches)
Really really praying that nobody comes down with any kind of flu - pig or otherwise.
Also for little guy - I know the misery of food allergies - we have done the eat nothing but rice and broccoli and it is so miserable for the child. Will continuous doses of Zyrtec help him to be able to eat more!

Continuing to pray - ER visits are exhausting so prayers that everyone gets some much needed rest now as well - with resolution to all the lingering issues. Keep us posted so that we can double our prayers whenever they decide to do surgery (but maybe Blessed Pier Giorgi Frassati will work something else out before then!)

Praying! We just had that flu and it was no fun. But you might be able to talk with Lily's dr about Tamiflu as a preventative -- we got Aidan started just a couple of hours after he started having symptoms and he had the lightest case of any of us.

Thanks so much, everyone. The day went well. Lily is doing well with her stitches, she has shown everyone and re-enacted her drama several times.....We also got good news with the allergist today, they said to treat him with the Zyrtec, (sound familiar, Marilyn?) and then do some food testing soon..she thinks it is oral allergy gone kind of crazy, plus my little ds had a trach and g-tube for five years and airway issues...so there is a lot of anxiety on his part with anything feeling strange airway-wise for him. While this isn't life threatening, like his milk allergy is, we have to convince him it is okay to eat, the feeling is annoying, but not life threatening. Poor guy, he has been thru a lot. If the allergy management side doesn't work, he'll go to GI for a workup and scope to see if there are strictures or something.....hopefully this is just allergy stuff.
