Hi all,

This is really small in the scheme of things, but...

I've been having pain in a few teeth, one in particular, for many weeks now. The thing is, I went to the dentist, and they found and fixed cavities in OTHER teeth, but the one that is really bothering me looked "fine" on their X-rays. So it's just kind of a phantom thing, a nerve irritation?

It's not horrible (i.e. I'm not bedridden, I can eat) but it is at the point where it is achy and annoying most of the day.    I would really love your efficacious prayers - so I can focus on the more important annoying things that are going on with us right now.

Could it be a sensitive tooth? My dad experienced this and switched to brushing with Sensodyne toothpaste and it helped him tremendously. I've heard teeth can become sensitive to things and hurt quite a lot. Just thought I'd mention it.

Sure hope this resolves for you soon as I'm certain it is quite an intrusion on the day!

Thank you for the idea Jennifer (and for the prayers, all of you!) - the dental hygienist suggested the same thing being possible. I'm glad your father was helped by the Sensodyne! Now I'm convinced I should try it.

I have definately experienced that, a pain in one tooth yet that one proves to be fine and it is another nearby that is decayed, it can happen.

Praying for your teeth in general, I have alot of empathy!

I should have added, that when the other decayed tooth is filled, the pain from the tooth that is fine, goes away! So there can be referred pain with teeth.

Sinus irritations/congestion can also cause this. Ask me how I know If you've got a cold that may exacerbate it.
