Hi Everyone,
This week is the beginning of a very busy season in our lives. My husband has surgery this Wednesday. It is outpatient, hopefully, God willing, if everything goes okay. (first prayer request...surgery goes well, he is relieved of his neck and back pain, and goes home same day)
I have to go right back to the hospital with Lily on Friday,and have a big day of checkups in anticipation of her surgery on Oct. 16th. This is for the jaw distraction that will hopefully be our big leap towards getting her trach out.
Please pray we stay healthy with all of the time at the hospital...safe travel....successful surgery...good pain control...and my sanity! 
Thank you so much!!!
ps--I am specifically asking Padre Pio to be with my husband through all of his surgery and post op, since dh's surgery is on Padre Pio's Feast Day!! 
Update--Okay, I wrote below, "update in original post" and THEN wrote the post....good grief.
GOOD NEWS---My husband is home, he did great....and we are all home after a very long day that started at 4am this morning. Thanks be to God, the Blessed Mother and Padre Pio!!! AND..to YOU for praying, I so, so appreciate it!!
One surgery down....one to go for this year!

We will be praying for you. Will add your dh to our Padre Pio novena. And asking for Saint Margaret Mary's intercession for Lily's surgery on her feast. And I am sure that Anne (aussieannie) will make special intercessions for you as Lily's surgery is on her birthday.
As for busy - do we not have a special birthday this week

I was just thinking about you and trying to remember when all of this was going on!
Prayers for all of you this week! May Our Lord grant you a helping of supernatural strength for this week and the weeks to come! And praying especially for a good outcome for your husband's surgery! May healing be swift and certain!

Thanks for the birthday wishes  ..I'm not used to mine being called out...I'll be at the University hospital all day with Lily...maybe we can get a piece of cake in the cafeteria  My ds's birthday is the day before, I can't believe he is going to be 15...(my dynamic duo, the Irish twins, oldest ds just turned 16..they both have red hair too!)
