Dearest ladies, I come to you to beg for your prayers on behalf of a friend who is likely slipping from us.
Some of you may remember a post I wrote a few months ago - Through Suzy's Eyes. My heart aches to tell you that Suzy is not doing well. She is facing what appears to be a systemic infection, likely the result of ongoing treatment from an earlier infection following the brain surgery she had on the same day as my brother's. It's all complicated, and yet connected. As a result, her body is very tired and wearing down. She was placed in a drug-induced coma in order to relieve seizures that were occurring for mysterious and yet unknown reasons. Attempts to awaken her have failed. Her body is not responsive. The family is preparing for the possibility that this may be the end.
Suzy is my age exactly - 38 - has 2 young children, a loving husband and father, a devoted mother who has been by her side assisting her care for months, and many, many family and friends that have supported her and are hurting. My mother is feeling this especially and is quite burdened with the pain of it.
I ask mostly for your prayers for Suzy, and for a miracle that the antibiotics will fight this infection. If it is God's will that her life on this earth should end, please pray for her soul, and then for her dear family, and that God in His generosity would extend His mercy to all those who are hurting and feeling the pain of Suzy's last days.
May God have mercy.
