Hi Ladies,
I'm here to ask for prayers for the Sydney Congress Embracing the New Evangelization being held this month in Sydney.
We need prayers and I know that this is the best place to come to ask for them.
Our city needs to capitalize on the grace given from WYD and the Office for Evangelization has organized this congress to hopefully do just that.
Could you please pray that many Catholics will come out and support this in the hope to witness to our faith once again in our city and our country. We need numbers to show our unity and love for our faith.

Oh praying mightily, Chemai. We definitely are still reaping the fruits of the grace from our WYD in 1993. There are powerful graces in those WYD areas.

Yes! We will be happy to pray for WYD graces for Australia (and particularly Sydney). A good friend of ours is leading the Dominican sisters down in Sydney ... she and the others sisters are tireless workers for the good!

Definitely sending prayers. My cousin went over for this, he was very excited to go and earned (begged!) money for his travels. Praying for great success.
Just an aside...he sent a note that he is meeting a lot of folks who speak French??!!

Yes Kacky K, I think I know the group he will be involved with who speak French, the Order of the Community of St John. We have seen them around with a big group of young people from the US, Alaska and Canada. My dh and kids got a big group shot with them the other day. So if your cousin was there on that day with the group then they will be in a shot together. Amazing!

Hi Mary,
We have met the Sisters on a number of occasions they are just so beautiful. I was blessed enough to go to an afternoon retreat with the Sisters when Mother Ann Marie was down under a couple of weeks ago. It was one of the best afternoons I have ever had. They are so inspiring and a beautiful witness of our Faith in this city. We feel greatly blessed to have their order here.
Thanks again Ladies for all your prayers. Please keep them up as I know rego's are down from what they were hoping to achieve.
