My twins will be recieving their first Holy Communion on Wednesday and our car is on the fritz  . Dh doesn't trust the car enough to take everyone somewhere in it, so he just uses it for work and groceries, and anything I borrow will only seat 5. I'd hate to go without everyone  , but right now it looks like the only way. If you could pray for this situation I would greatly appreciate it. I am hoping dh can trust God instead of the car  .
This seems so unimportant compared to everything else going on. Everyone's intentions are in my prayers. Thank you.
Update:We are still working out the transportation details. The devil likes giving any excuse to not do what's right .
The main thing I think is for someone who has been years without the sacraments to feel the need to go back to them and to have the courage to follow through. Please pray that this person can cooperate with the graces that are being offered to him.

are you close enough to do multiple trips with a borrowed car? I've done that before.

oh, gloria, what a problem! I wish I could help...but I am obviously not home!
where do you have to drive to???
Could you borrow a car AND invite someone to the FHC mass who can drive some of you, too?

Gloria, a couple of possibilities:
--Can you call the parish office and see if anyone who will be at the Mass (I'm guessing daily Mass) could give some of you a ride?
--Are there cab companies in your area that have vans, and would the cost to and from church be possible or (depending on distance etc)?
--Are there any buses? Or does your local bus company do one of those "rideshare" things where you can schedule transportation for a group of people?
--Can you rent a van or SUV for the day (pickup the night before, return the evening of the FHC)? On a weekday the rates might not be too bad, and there are lots of discounts and savings available this time of year.
Just a few ideas...hope something works out!
