John goes to the doctor today for his six month visit. He's so cute and happy but I'm extremely anxious about his weight gain. He is thriving, but I know he's little. I want enough weight gain so that the doctor doesn't want to consider a bunch of testing or supplements. He also gets 2 vaccines today (Hib and polio), and given what my sister just went through with my nephew, its all I can do to actually show up at the office.

Praying for little John - I get all anxious about well visits too. Praying he gets no reactions to the vaccines.

Well, he is officially "failure to thrive". Ugh. Only gained 3 ounces the past month. He is developing, in that he's doing normal baby things, consistent with his adjusted age. And he has the cutest smile that he just loves to flash at anyone that talks to him. But he is not growing.
We had blood work this morning and consult with a pediatric endocrinologist in a few weeks (unless the doctor can bump us up sooner).
I'm anxious. My kids have been small, but never stopped gaining adequately. And just reading a tiny bit (because I'm trying very hard not to fill me head with worry), he is presenting kind of a classic case of some kind of metabolic disorder.
Then again, it really could be nothing, just how John grows.

Blood work shows elevated liver enzyme  , not what I was hoping to hear. Now we also consult with a Ped. GI doctor as well as the endocrinologis.
I'm specifically asking for you all to pray we get seen this week, in Fairfax, both doctors the same day. My doctor is trying to set it up. It would be a huge help.
And of course for John.
