Please pray for my very good friend's son, his name is Orin. He had had a serious asthma attack and was rushed to hospital. Unfortunately the hospitals are groaning at the load and number in our winter down here and they were in ER for 17 hours...he has needed hugh intervention and we are praying he will stabilize better in the next 24hours.

Praying for Orin...Asthma is such a difficult thing to deal with at times. My husband struggles with it and our 13 yr. old son has had some very acute attacks in the past. Praying hard!

The doctors now believe this is more viral related. It is going around...I had this too (though much milder of course) a few weeks back. The trouble is those who are asthmatics are at greater risk of a life-threatening episode which is what has happened. My memory is bad but I think they said this is the reason the usual measures to control this attack were not working well.

Orin is still in hospital tonight, God willing he will be improved tomorrow and can be released.

I'm praying with much empathy, Anne. My oldest son has virally triggered asthma and it can get ugly quickly! I pray that he has turned the corner, both on the virus and the asthma.

There is a good update, Orin is checking out of hospital as I write. We are just praying now that he makes a steady recovery at home with no flare-ups. Many thanks for prayers so far, Elizabeth and Andrew are so grateful!!
