My dh returns to work today after being home with me since Thursday. He is the director of a Catholic outreach to the poor in our county. The week before the baby was born his secretary quit and the cook who had been cooking daily in his soup kitchen for 27 years died suddenly. He reopens the soup kitchen for the first time today, short-handed and with his thoughts on home where I am trying arrange rides for doctor's appointments and child care and make it through the day. Your prayers for a smooth day for him especially and all of us would be greatly appreciated.

Here's where I feel so very far away...would that I could pop over and shuttle people around for you today, share a cup of tea, hold the baby while you take a shower, and leave you with a folded load of laundry! 
Good St. Joseph, intercede for this family and assist them in helping all the practicals of the day fall into place!

Thank you ladies for your kind prayers. Reports from dh were that things were gloriously smooth at work today...he even brought home lunches for us! I managed to have all the kids dressed and ready by the time my ride got here, get them dropped off to a friend, and make it to the doctor on time. The baby slept for the entire two and half hours we were away from home.
And my doctor, who knows me all too well, advised me that I could slowly start to resume normal activity, then added this caveat: "Well, I mean normal people's normal activity, wait a few weeks before resuming YOUR normal activity."   Nonetheless, I actually feel rejuvenated by the time and like I am getting my feet under me.
I know it was your prayer support that made it possible.
