Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Many of you may remember that I asked for prayers for our friend Michael, here.

It seems that during his long battle, he and has wife have fallen in love all over again. On May 9th, they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary (as well as a significant birthday for Mary). It was the best day of their married life.

This Saturday, they will be renewing their marriage vows in our church. It is a very big event, everyone in the church is invited to the renewal and the reception afterwards. And in the evening, the family will gather together (they have seven children and many grandchildren), and we have been invited as well. We are so honored.

Next month, they will travel together to Lourdes. Michael has never been, so this is a first visit for him, the second visit for Mary.

I ask for prayers of thanksgiving for this couple and their beautiful witness to their faith. Our family is so honored to know them and to be included in their life. And I thank all of you who have prayed for Michael over the past several months. I know that he would thank each of you personally if he could.

I continue to pray for each of you and your intentions.

Wow! Talk about God drawing greater good from what was originally a heavy cross and trial. Just wonderful news!

What a beautiful testament of God's beautiful and tender Mercies and Graces drawn down through the Sacrament of Marriage. I rejoice with you, Carole!

I just wanted to share that Michael and Mary are in Lourdes this week. They return on Sunday and will spend the next week in London with their oldest son and his family. It is lovely to see two people so in love with each other...almost as if it was teenage love!

They had a beautiful ceremony in the church and a wonderful reception afterwards. All of their children and grandchildren attended. The grand daughters were dressed in violet and yellow (Mary's wedding color was violet and Michael's favorite color is yellow).

It was a wonderful day, and we feel so blessed to know them.
