Hi Ladies,

Please pray for my mother. She had reconstructive knee surgery on Monday. While the surgery itself went very well, she's had a few complications afterward. The pain medication made her very very sick and she has a UTI. This has slowed her recovery because she couldn't make it to Physical Therapy. She was supposed to come home today but may not be able to come home until late tomorrow or Friday. The care in this hospital seems to be quite lacking in attentiveness. Perhaps because of the nature of the surgery. My Dad has been her nurse and has stayed by her side day and night and is also exhausted although he never complains. (Why didn't I get that gene?)    

I'm going down to help on Friday so that maybe my Dad can get some rest. I would appreciate your prayers for my entire family as my husband is flying in from a trip Thursday night and I'm off to my parents' on Friday morning.

Thanks for all of your prayers, dear ladies. My Mom is doing much better. She's getting stronger every day. The baby and I stayed with Mom and Dad this weekend and did little odds and ends for them. I haven't had alone time with my parents in a very long time. It was such a blessing. My Dad is taking such good care of her. It's so sweet.

My mother is determined to get back into her golf league in a few weeks so as long as her stubbornness does not cause her to do too much too soon, she'll be moving around on her own within a couple of weeks.

Thanks again. I'm so grateful for your prayers.

I would be happy to include your mother in my prayers. My sister in law had knee surgery for an old car accident injury from many years ago recently and it was a difficult and complicated recovery. I pray your mother is on a good road to recovery quickly.God Bless.
