Dh is a doctor, and occasionally has to deal with pro-life issues, since 50% of the patients with 'his' disease will die if they become pregnant -- so, most of them have a termination 
He was recently asked to assess a patient to see if she was 'fit' enough to have an abortion. He refused, mainly because she was suffering from another condition which is outside his speciality, but also of course because he'll have nothing to do with abortion.
Now the obstetrician who asked for the opinion is kicking up a fuss, and throwing round all sorts of allegations. Fortunately, for the moment, the UK law is on dh's side as no doctor is compelled to take part in abortion -- but it's still pretty nasty and the forces of evil are definitely on the attack.
Would you please pray for dh? He's being extremely brave about it  but it's still unsettling.

What a cross for your dh, Elizabeth...I feel for him greatly. I will pray, asking God to keep him strong and protected from the evil around..a bit like a medical St Thomas More..sadly it would seem it is coming to that..doctors are now facing this sort of thing in the Australian state of Victoria and we also had British friends leave for the States due to the husband's work as a urologist and what he expected to then take on with the new laws that were introduced a year ago or so...

I'm so sorry for all the pain and struggle you dh (and you, by extension) is going through. My dh is also a doc who has received unjust treatment over the course of many years for upholding various moral positions over what "they" are okay with. Yes, it is full of evil. Praying for your husband and all medical professionals who take a positive moral stand.

Elizabeth, Praying here for your husband and for you. May God send His Spirit to you both to strengthen you and give you peace. So many doctors around the world (my dh included) are facing the possibility of persecution for their pro-life stance. Those who deal with OB patients are on the front lines. May our Lady intercede for you, and for the unborn children who are being murdered.

Dear Elizabeth,
Your husband is in my prayers. My husband and I are both doctors - but it sounds like your husband is in a particularly difficult specialty. The forces of evil are so strong. I hope he has some good support in the medical community.
