Hi Friends,
Lily's surgery is tomorrow morning at 8AM, I think I am in Central time  So if you could offer up an Ave for Miss Lily, I would really, really appreciate it.
They are removing more scar tissue from her trachea, and this is sort of the make or break surgery....if she doesn't tolerate capping her trach after this...it means she needs jaw distraction, because there would be no other reason why she can't tolerate breathing with her trach closed, other than her jaw is still too small to support her tongue up out of the airway. Jaw distraction is ugly, but one thing at a time, right? I have been reading the Diary of St. Faustina, it has been helpful in reminding me to trust in God, and how pleasing it is when we place our complete confidence in Him...I have a woeful way to go, but am thankful for the prayers and support of all of you and our Communion of Saints!!! I did get to bless Lily with a first class relic of St. Therese the Little Flower, that was terrific, we love St. Therese!!
I'll try to update tomorrow, it is actually outpatient surgery if Lily's airway behaves.

Update--She did great!!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!! It is the Hour of Mercy, and as some of us were finishing the Chaplet...Lily is outside with one of her big brothers, being pushed in her little car. WE are home, the surgery went well, and now we will start trying to cap Lily's trach in the weeks to come. I am so, so thankful this went well, my mama's heart struggles so as I put this little one down on the surgery table to be put to sleep, but here we are, home!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

We will be praying especially for little Lily all day. I have lit the candle ande we will be especially invoking the intercession of Saint Therese the Little Flower.
Praying for peace and strength for you too.

May God bless both of these surgeries with successful outcomes that enhance and make fuller these two precious lives.

I have been through that process at least 10 times with my little ones and not so littles. I doesn't get any easier  . I'm so glad you're home and I'll keep praying for a complete recovery.
