My sil came home yesterday and our niece (their youngest daughter) went into the hospital with early labor. She's only 34 weeks (this is their first baby) and the contractions were coming 2-3 minutes apart.

My sil is not in a good state of mind. 1 month + 6 days of being in the hospital, near-death experience, still very weak (fell in the bathroom on her first day home), and cannot be w/ her daughter during this time.

Plus Kari's baby shower was supposed to be this afternoon. :-(

Please pray for Janet, Kari, and baby Madison...and both husbands.

Thank you for all the prayers.

My sister-in-law is doing much better. Has lost lots of fluid and regained much control of her body. She even got in the car yesterday to ride into town w/ one of her daughters and picked-up something to eat. Junky-junk food. Her appetite is slowly returning.

Kari's premature labor was stopped w/ the shots which they will continue until she's at least 37 weeks. She is on "rest" for the duration of the pregnancy so she comes every morning to sit w/ her mom.
It's kind of cute. When we walk over to visit, both she and Jan are sitting in the living room. Just sitting, recuperating, recovering...together.

I don't know if either one is aware of the beautiful gift of time God has given them to be together. I'm sure it gets pretty dull and mundane. But I pray they both realize and cherish the gift all the same.
