Oh, Nancy, I am praying that Our Lord might bless you with the consolation of joy and peace at resigning yourself and your family to His will, and that He will make His will completely clear to you and your husband. I think of Our Lady and St. Joseph during these times and how unknown and concerned they must have been on that hasty flight into Egypt. Can you imagine Our Lady, tenderly wrapping the Divine Child in one blanket and her arms and leaving everything else behind and simply trusting her care and that of the infant Jesus to the humble and strong leadership of St. Joseph? It humbles me every time I think of it. I know God is guiding your family just as carefully and tenderly.

My favorite prayer - not terribly eloquent or lovely, but completely from the heart and reflective of my soul...

"Lord, I don't understand, but I trust."

I like it because it allows me to be honest...because rarely do I understand, but there is peace in trust. I'm praying for you, Nancy!
