My son Dominic is going in to the hospital very early tomorrow to have a thyroglossal duct cyst removed. They do not expect cancer or anything, but he is kind of high anxiety and the experience will not be a bowl of fruit for him. We will take any prayers you can manage to send our way. Thank you. UPDATE:

Thank you all so much! He did very well. The doctor said the cyst did not look suspicious but, of course, it will be tested anyway. Dominic had a little trouble coming down off his anesthesia, but after that passed he was doing so well that the doctor discharged him early! He is so happy to be home now, resting on his couch, surrounded by doting siblings and mounds of chocolate ice cream. God is good! And so are you all! Thank you for your kindness.

My niece had this done last Fall, she was five years old....and did just fine. It was a tiring week of post op recovery, but really, she bounced back pretty quickly and was back in school in less than a week. I'll be praying for Dominic!!
