Please add a local member of our Catholic homeschool community to your prayers. This mom is a homeschooling mom of 5 children - ages 1 1/2 to 10. She was called up with Navy Reserves in the fall and is being deployed today to Iraq. She will be there until Jan-Feb 2010. The family will continue to homeschool, as the dad will be able to work 2 days a week and homeschool the other 3. Her parents will be helping to homeschool the other 2 days. And their parish is helping out as well. They could certainly use prayers for Eileen's safe return and to get them through this tough time. I can't even imagine.

Praying for Eileen and her family...I can imagine this all too well, unfortunately. I know many deployed moms who must leave small children behind.
