We are all having such a difficult time with everything happening. My son is clinging to me, my daughter is clinging to my son, my husband is busying himself around the house, and I'm having bouts of crying. We were going to try to drive to Louisiana tomorrow for a week, but we just don't have the gas money. Every time we turn around there's another bill in the mail or another legal issue to deal with, all without an attorney. I'm sorry to keep bringing our problems to all of you, but we are floundering. I shared some issues with my mom yesterday. She called me later to tell me she hung up the phone and implored God for relief, asking Him,"why is this happening? what do You want?" I have been asking these same questions for over a year. I'm at a loss for words. I keep praying, but is it enough? I'm sorry, I just don't think it's working.

Oh dearest Paula, I have begged for the same for you as I have prayed for you over these months. I really wish you were coming to Louisiana this week. A little space and some good Cajun hospitality would be so healing. I know it is hard when we cannot see the fruit of our prayer, but don't stop being a beggar before the throne of Christ. Remember the persistent widow. And know that you do not beg alone. Your sisters are with you.

Don't apologize for asking for more prayer. Nothing happens in a vacuum. God is using your situation to bring us all to more prayer, to make us aware of situations like yours, and to remind us to offer up what we can for others.

Oh, Paula....I'm holding you close in prayer. I know there is a Resurrection in this journey for you, and I trust that God is gently guiding this even though it is so very painful. I am holding you and your family close in my prayers! You are not alone, dearest Paula! We'll be praying you right through. When your prayers become groans to the Holy Spirit, rest in knowing that we beg before the throne of God with you. Sending so many of these to you  along with digital cups of tea!
I was so inspired by Angie's staycation idea last summer. I wondered if it might provide some inspiration for you to make lemonade out of this lemon.

Praying and praying for you, my friend. I know your burdens are great. You are so courageous - in spite of it all - and it's an honor to pray for you. I will add some extra prayers just for you...especially for some inner peace and the knowledge that you aren't alone, that God is still with you.
