My mom called and told me my Uncle Dick died last night. Uncle Dick was my mom’s best friend’s husband, and adopted into our family since I was a little girl. He was one of the nicest, gentlest men I knew, and I am sad tonight that he is no longer here with us. He was only diagnosed with a rare blood disease three short months ago. I am grateful he is no longer suffering, as he was in a lot of pain. Please pray for the repose of his soul.
My Aunt Joan (his wife and my mom’s best friend), who I am very close to is physically not really healthy, and emotionally is very fragile as well. If you could please lift her up in prayer, and their family (2 sons and wives, and 3 grandsons, also good friends of ours, her son and I were talking of marriage once), I would really appreciate it. I know they’re all suffering so much heartache and pain right now, and I know they could use strength through prayer, as there are many decisions to be made, and so much to get through in this difficult time.
Tonight, I am treasuring the evening I had with him this summer when they came to see my brother’s band with us, and we got to spend some nice time together. That was the last time I saw him, as he got sick very soon after that. Thank you so much. Uncle Dick will be missed greatly.

Tracy, I am so sad to hear of your loss. I am praying for your Aunt Joan, it is hard journey ahead adjusting to a new life without the one you love.
