Just when things were calming down around here, Amy visited the orthopedist for a strained knee. After x-rays, an mri and then a cat scan they say her tendons are way to loose----"very strange" the dr. said.
They did a few things with her joints and looked at her cardiac/palpatation/tachacardia history and he is suspecting a disease called Marfan syndrome. It is not good, but I stop investigating it after a few minutes. 
Our primary dr is very concerned. They sent blood to Boston for genetic testing-(it is a genetic problem) results won't be in for at least 2 weeks.
This effects the heart-causing an aneurysm in the aorta in the heart--we see a cardiologist on March 2. Her primary dr got this moved up three weeks-from what they told us was the first available appt.--so there is a lot of concern.
We need need prayers for Amy! Thank you so much!

Joann, you didn't need any more stress! I am praying it turns out to be nothing. Anyway, I will pray that the Holy Spirit be with you and her health care providers in a special way, providing counsel and consolation.

I've heard of Marfan syndrome and know of a family that have this. Praying for Amy, that she will get the best diagnostic tests and treatment, and that there is nothing serious resulting from all of this.

Praying...my college roommate has Marfan and spent years with docs trying to figure out what her health issues were (while marching in bands for months every year!). She is a happy mom and attorney now...25 years later...
I am glad the docs are checking this now, so Amy will know for sure. I'm praying for your peace of mind.
